Synopsis
Three’s a Crowd was spawned by time constraints. Doing a full-length play is the most attractive opportunity available to directors, but also a most painstaking and lengthy process. Lack of time brought about the suggestion of short plays. Soon enough the project took on a life of its own and became a new kind of attractive opportunity. Not wanting to restrict a series of short plays thematically, the commonality was brought about by restricting the size of the cast. Three actors. Not more. Not less. The idea being to see the variety of stories that could be told using only three characters each.
